Depreciation - Maximum Base Amount

Hi Experts,

I have configured maximum base amount for a depreciation key.

I am noticing that this maximum amount seems to apply for each transaction rather than the total APC.

My example asset - was processed via PO with many line items (in order to separate lines for VAT applicable or exempt items)

So each of these line items is a separate transaction against the asset:

My  maximum base amount for depreciation is set at 57,466.

Depreciation Key is set at straightline over 6 years and 8 months.

This would result in depreciation per year of 8,169.90

However as you can see the first year has an amount of 10,442.62.

This seems to be because the maximum amount is applied at each transaction - rather than for whole APC cost.

The following years are correct if you check the comparison tab:

Can anyone confirm that this is the way standard SAP works. Is there anyway to enable the first year to calculate depreciation as 8,619.90?
