Error AC 669 - Not able to assign FYV at Depreciation Area Level

Hello Experts,

We are trying to extend Asset Accounting module to an existing Company code.

While assigning a Fiscal Year Variant -ZA at the Depreciation Area level for Dep Area 10 (Tax Book) whose Start & End Date matches with the FYV assigned at the company code level at  Asset Accounting > Valuation> Fiscal Year > Fiscal Year Variants> Specify Other Versions on Depreciation Area Level, we are getting below error while saving changes -

------------------------------------------------

Error Message- AC 669

Areas &1 and &10 use different fiscal year variants

Cause-

Depreciation areas 01 and 10 are the real depreciation areas on which a derived depreciation area is based. Different fiscal year variants were entered for these two depreciation areas. Depreciation area 01 has fiscal year variant but depreciation area 10 is assigned to fiscal year variant ZA .

The areas on which a derived depreciation area is based all have to have the same fiscal year variant.

SYSTEM_RESPONSE

The data is not saved.

WHAT_TO_DO

Correct the settings for the fiscal year variant for depreciation areas 01 and 10.

----------------

We have never faced this issue till now while doing fresh company code configuration as we copy configuration from an existing Company code where the above configuration normally gets copied over to the new Company code.  This is the first time we are extending Asset Accounting to an existing company code and the system is giving above error and not allowing to save changes.

Book 01 is the only Dep Area which posts and book 10 is the Tax book for which we want to assign the 24 period FYV ZA whose start and end date matches the FYV assigned at the company code level.

We already have a number of other company codes which have this configuration in place and working fine.

New-GL has been activated.

Is there a way to rectify this and save changes?
