The following document is created to make new variant in Asset history sheet which will display the impairment details.

Input your details: Company code, report date, depreciation area, sort version (001) and History sheet version (001) standard (scroll down to see this).

Impairment field is not shown in this standard version.

In order to display impairment details in Asset history sheet the following configurational changes to be done to create new History sheet variant (Z001).
Step 1 : Create New History sheet version by copying existing version 001. Name it as Z001 ( You can name it as per your naming pattern).
Path : SPRO - IMG - Financial Accounting (New) - Asset Accounting - Information System - Asset History Sheet - Define History Sheet Versions. Tcode : OA79.

Step 2: Select Version 0001 and click on “Copy History Sheet Version” and add “Z001”.

Step 3: Create Line – 08 and Add the following three fields in the columns.
1. IMPAIRMENT YEAR START – IMP FY START(Column 00)
2. IMPAIRMENT FOR THE YEAR – IMP FOR YEAR (Column 10)
3. IMPAIRMENT CURRENT BALANCE - IMP Curr bkVal (Column 99)
(Note : Click on Right Column / Left column to see the column 99)
The following screen appears in standard version:

Step 4: Double click on each of these three fields which will take you to new page. Add “X” as given in the table for the combination of Grp + Acquisition + APP-Trn and leave all other fields as it is.

Step 5: Once it is done for all three newly added columns Run transaction AR02 with newly created History sheet variant. i.e. Z001.

The report will now display the Impairment amount if posted in SAP. We have posted impairment in the month-Dec'14. You can see the impairment value highlighted.
